After winning her first national championship last week at Loretta's, I figured Taylor would be a good rider profile. She talked about how her motos went and gave some cool facts about herself. Congats on the nat'l title.
1st moto I had a good start and was leading went down and got up and came back to 2nd .2nd moto I was like 10th middle pack and had to work my way back up and ended up 2nd I past 2nd place on the last jump on the last lap. 3rd moto had a good start was pulling away from every one ...got 1st overall and the other girl got third which I got the overall so it worked out good.

After sweeping the Entry level class and pulling off a 4th in the 50cc open on his xr50, I talked to Chase for a minute about how things have been going. He's getting ready to move up full-time to a Cobra and possibly try to make a run for Loretta's in the 4-6 yr old class. He hasn't lost a moto in the 50 entry class since April, he has a 20 moto win streak going right now. Watch his corner speed.

Keenan Sanders
With Keenan putting in awesome rides at Warrior Mx this past weekend I figured he would be awesome for the rider profile. Keenan rode 4 classes Saturday: winning 85cc 12-13, taking a moto win in 85 open(fell 2nd moto) and pulling a 6th place in Youth and debuting in the 125C class took 8th. He looked real aggressive and confident in himself Saturday night and rode strong all night.

Tell us a little about yourself.
Well, I'm 32 years old. I have a lovely wife Rachel who puts up with MX 24/7,
and a 6 year old boy named Chase. I work for a coal mine as a
Mechanical Engineer. My time is generally spent at work, riding/working on
mx bikes, and at church. I usually do the prayer at the Alabama series races
and teach 11th and 12th grade Sunday School class. at Oak Grove
First Baptist Church
When did you start riding?
I started riding at the age of 4. Started racing 80's at 12 and
stopped to go to college at 17. Started back in '98 after a 7 year lay off.
You missing your Honda 450, or you liking the little bikes
I love to ride the F. It handles sooooo well. But, I'm not a wide open rider.
I do suffer from lack of horsepower on the little bike. Going from a heavily
modded 450 to a stock 250f seems like switching from a 125 to and 85.
Being out of shape and overweight doesn't help either.
I'd probably be just as fast as I ever was if I got into shape
What has been your favorite track of all time?
Favorite track of all time??? Hmmmm......... I'm going to go out on a limb here. I've only been to Bremen one time and it was just practice, but I loved the layout and the soil. As for Alabama tracks I really liked the original Monster Mountain. Haven't run it backwards yet. There aren't many I don't like. Those are Kilpatrick (hard/dusty) and a track in Tenn we went to a qualifier at last year. (same conditions)
You didn't like kilpatrick?
I only went there for Qualifiers. I was a beginner C rider then. It always seemed to be extremely hard pack and so dusty you couldn't see the ground in front of you. I never liked it there. I would have liked to have ridden it in good conditions at least once.
Where you live?
I live in the big town of Oak Grove. It's about 30 miles North west of B' ham. Near where Walker, Tuscaloosa, and Jefferson Counties come together.
How old are you now?
Rallendude: 32. It's in my tell us about you reply.
O ok missed it
Who is your favorite rider of all time?
I'll go with a few here. Damon Bradshaw and Doug Henry. Bradshaw was possibly the outright fastest of his era but he struggled with pressure.
What can you say about Henry. The guy never gives up and can ride the wheels off anything with two wheels. AND, he could probably finish in the top three of an AMA National series right now.
Whats your biggest accomplishments
Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals in 2004 in the +30 class. I finished just off the bottom but I was there.
I also won the +30 Alabama State Championship in 2003 (by one point) and got second in 250B.
Some of my biggest accomplishments have come in teaching my son to ride and getting others involved in MX. I love to see people enjoy motorcycling. Ohhh, and trying to keep the Aaron's on working machinery. lol
Awesome, well thanks alot anyone you would like to thank?
Yeah, all the track owners for a place to ride, my wife and son for putting up with mx 24/7
and good friends at the track for making it fun and, gaerne, scott, renthal, wise performance, vp fuels, and custom performance
Thanks for doing the interview.
I enjoyed it actually. Turns out I type as much as I talk. haha.
Rider Profile
Ricky Allen
If you watch Mr. Allen ride his heart out then come off the track to have someone waitng for him to work on his bike you see he is pretty busy most of the time at the track. As he is also there for the riders meeting to do the prayer. Figured he would be great for this rider profile. :)
Stick: what's up?
Chase: nuthin much just sitting here listening to music.
It's going ok I guess.
I just started back riding yesterday.
Well it was my first race back,,
so I'm feeling good!
Yeah, you were flying for first race back how
did everything turn out?
It turned out ok I guess. I wrecked like 4 times but, I guess
ill get back in the swing of things after a couple of races back
How's the shoulder?
Good, back to normal.
How long have you been riding?
Well I started out when I was like 4, on this pw 50.
But I've been out with injuries for probably around a year and half.
When you planning on moving to 125's?
well, were looking around for a 125 right now to buy.. so....as soon as we find one!
What has been your favorite track?
umm....Loretta's was a fun track... but my favorite would have to be muddy creek.
Where are you from?
Pell city, Alabama!.. about 5 minutes from mill creek
How old are you?
15
Who is your favorite rider?
Davi millsaps..for sure!
What's your biggest accomplishments
welp... I have won many Alabama state championships... but just making it to Loretta's was a big deal for me.. and I'm looking to make it again this year!
Awesome, well thanks a lot anyone you would like to thank?
yea for sure, GOD!, I couldn't have gotten anything done or accomplished without him! my dad for all his support and just being there for help on my riding, my mom, of course for being there to just talk to about things, fast lap suspension, bama powersports, smith, Scott, hjc, motul, twin air, white brothers, Regina chains, vortex, Michelin, and anyone else I forgot.
Thanks for doing the interview.
Thanxx

I've lived in Alaska, Idaho, and Alabama. I've been in Alabama for
about 22 years now. I am a Land Surveyor during the week to
support my racing addiction.
Something interesting about yourself:
Not to much interesting to say here, I am really kind of boring.
Except that people outside of motocross think I am a crazy idiot
for being old and still racing! I think they might be jealous.
When did you start riding/racing?
I started riding mini bikes when I was eight (real mini bikes with
lawnmower engines) in the So. Cal. Deserts.
Then started racing when I was eleven.
What is your favorite track?
Well.... I like all the Alabama tracks and one of them is my favorite but
I'll never tell!

4 strokes fit my style....lazy!
